The fourth annual LA Podcast Festival takes place Friday the 18th until Sunday the 20th of September. Widely thought of as the original and most high-profile podcast festival in the world, the LA PodFest 2015 takes place at various venues around inner Los Angeles and has a packed schedule over the two and a half days. Some of the things on offer this year at LA PodFest include an art show, panel discussions on subjects from writing to crowdfunding, a record-your-own-podcast studio and over 40 live podcast recordings expected to take place.
Don’t worry if you’re not in LA though, as something unique about the festival is that for a mere $25, you can stream video content of (Almost) all of the podcast episodes recorded across the entire three day event live, then have a whole month to watch as much of the content as you want, after that. We’re stuck in rainy England this year, but will be happily turning over our $25 to watch some of the great episodes scheduled to record and support our favourite form of media.
Some big-name podcasts are recording a live episode this year at LA PodFest, such as Doug Loves Movies with Doug Benson, Fitzdog Radio with Greg Fitzsimmons, The Smartest Man in the World with Greg Proops and WTF with Marc Maron. If you’re lucky enough to be in Los Angeles over this weekend, go to the event in person and investigate all the things to do at LA PodFest ’15 and, of course, watch a podcast recording or three live. For the rest of us, why not stream the event? $25 is a small fee for the amount of content you receive and you get a whole month to watch it all. Support the podcasting industry!
